UPCOMING EVENTS

Texas HUG Update

During Fall 2004, a TXHUG Steering Committee was formed with support from FEMA Region VI, for the purpose of getting the  Texas HUG off to a good start.  An Outreach Subcommittee recently began to identify opportunities for spreading the word,  enlisting prospective HUG participants, and promoting training workshops within the state.  This will be our focus over the next several months as we continue to meet via telecon, with a face-to-face organizational meeting tentatively planned for late Fall 2005.  Please sign up for the list serve if you would like to receive interim updates for HAZUS-related activities, and/or contact one of the individuals listed above if you would like to become actively involved.

Steering Committee Contact Info
A number of federal, state, and local users currently serve on the Steering Committee.  We are in the process of identifying other potential sector participants, and expect to add members from the academic, business, and practitioner communities in the near future.  To download a copy of the Steering Committee membership roster, click here ...

Proposed Charter Document
The Texas HUG is envisioned as a structured organization, with opportunities for varying degrees of participation, based on  members' levels of interest.  An Executive Board, Advisory Board, and Strategic Planning Committee are proposed to ensure continued development, while additional Ad Hoc committees will be formed in the future to meet the needs of Texas HAZUS-MH users.  To download a copy of the draft TXHUG charter, click here...
